Las estadísticas de Resultados Finales de Promoción de alumnos de primer grado en el departamento de Jalapa demuestran que únicamente el 65% de alumnos terminan el ciclo escolar con éxito; el 35% de niños y niñas están etiquetados por el fracaso escolar (reprueban el grado, se retiran definitivamente) por diversas causas.
