Do you bounce from church to church wondering why the churches today do not resemble the early church in the Bible? Are you told you are too sensitive or worse yet, in rebellion, when you refuse to sit quietly by, when people are lied to and manipulated into submitting themselves to a corrupt system? Are you told you will never find a perfect church since they are all made up of imperfect people, like you?I don''t buy it? John the Baptist called for the church to repent to prepare the way for the birth of our Lord. Today I am calling for the church to repent, the whole Christian church, in preparation for Our Lord''s Second Coming! I am "Calling In The Remnant" to be unified not in possessions, or property, but in unity of purpose, looking to survive what is to come as the true body of Christ, not enabling dysfunction but encouraging ALL of the saints to "keep the faith and finish the race."JOANNA moved to Tulsa in 1986, a single mom of three little boys, completed her Bachelor''s Degree at Oral Roberts University, and began her search for where God wanted her to serve and belong. Eventually, God led her to minister with the homeless, where she found fulfillment in helping people that truly needed her help and appreciated her knowledge and experience about alcoholism and dysfunctional families. In 1992, she married her current husband Barry, who had been homeless off and on for 12 years. Sober now for 19 years, he currently works for DOC as a maintenance technician. Their son, Jacob, is now a junior in High School. Joanna''s first book "Are Christians the Hitlers of Today? A Search for Truth" is also published by Xulon Press. Ever gone to church thinking you were in a safe place, only to find out that the pastor was having an affair with the choir director's wife? Remember when all those priests molested those young boys, some who were altar boys in the church? Do you know that Hitler professed to be a Christian? Ever been conned into giving money to the church, only to be left penniless and alone? Go with Joanna on her own spiritual journey, battling the dictators in her life and finding some of the keys to emotional healing. See how total surrender to a just and loving God can expose the errors in your thinking and bring you to an understanding of truth. What is truth? Pontius Pilate asked Jesus this question. Would you like to know the answer? Joanna was born in Connecticut. Married in 1977, she moved to Rhode Island. In 1979 she began attending Al-anon meetings which changed the course of her life. The next seven years took her on an incredible journey of spiritual, mental, and emotional healing. Divorced with three small sons, she headed to Tulsa OK in 1986 to attend Oral Roberts University. Although people in Tulsa had many valid spiritual experiences, they were very often emotionally bankrupt. AA and Al-anon were not promoted. Joanna's years in recovery in Rhode Island, prepared her for the frustration she found in Tulsa attempting to walk out her calling. She was ordained through Ministers for Christ Assembly of Churches and spent eight years ministering with the homeless. She has recorded two albums: "The Dance" and "Heed My Call". She lives in Sand Springs Oklahoma with her new husband and teen-age son. Graduated from college, her other boys are grown and married and live in Fort Worth Texas.
