Countering a culture that coerces men to suppress instead of express, Jason Wilson calls readers to unlearn society's definition of masculinity and discover the power of engaging with and mastering their emotions.
Jason Wilson, bestselling author and director of the Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy, teaches men how to break free from societal shackles and master the ten characteristics of the comprehensive man that will equip them to overcome life's many challenges. For many years Jason Wilson struggled with trying to conform to the world's mandate for men, only displaying stereotypical masculine attributes such as brute strength, unchecked boldness, and aggression. But it wasn't until he discovered a pivotal truth--the moment you allow others to define you is the moment you lose your identity and power--that he was able to escape emotional incarceration and become a comprehensive man: a man not defined by others, a man who can become whatever the moment demands. In a world where the essence of manhood is often obscured by facades and societal expectations, Jason Wilson now uncovers a new path. In The Man the Moment Demands, Jason challenges and dismantles preconceived notions of masculinity, unveiling a deeper understanding of what it means not just to be a man, but to be authentically human. He helps menunderstand the root cause of their trauma, fear, and unresolved anger using the Tree of Trauma assessment;discover the ten characteristics that lead to comprehensive manhood;confidently answer the question "Who are you?"; andlearn how to find strength in vulnerability and embrace change. After reading The Man the Moment Demands, men will feel empowered live fully from the good in their hearts instead of the fear of how they will be perceived.

W. H. Hudson was brought up on the pampas, where he learnt from gauchos about frontier life. After moving to London in 1874, Hudson lived in extreme poverty. Like his friend Joseph Conrad, Hudson was an exile, adapting to England. He never returned to Argentina.Wilson unravels Hudson s English dream, his natural history rambles, and his work to protect birds. He remains both a complex witness to his homeland before mass immigration and to his England of the mind, before the urban sprawl.Praise for Jason Wilson: Tireless, shrewd, erudite Jason Wilson, mixing hard fact and anthology, provides the perfect outfit of allusion and comparative experience - Jonathan Keates, ObserverPut his treasure trove into your pocket. - Anthony Sattin, Sunday TimesThe idea is so simple that it must be original. The making of a great Chilean poet.
The seeds of irreverent humour that inspired the likes of Wayne and Shuster and Monty Python were sown in the trenches of the First World War, and The Dumbellsconcert parties made up of fighting soldierswere central to this process. Soldiers of Song tells their story. Lucky soldiers who could sing a song, perform a skit, or pass as a lady, were taken from the line and put onstage for the benefit of their soldier-audiences. The intent was to bolster morale and thereby help soldiers survive the war. The Dumbells popularity was not limited to troop shows along the trenches. The group also managed a run in Londons West End and became the first ever Canadian production to score a hit on Broadway. Touring Canada for some twelve years after the war, the Dumbells became a household name and made more than twenty-five audio recordings. If nationhood was won on the crest of Vimy Ridge, it was the Dumbells who provided the country with its earliest soundtrack. Pioneers of sketch comedy, the Dumbells are as important to the history of Canadian theatre as they are to the cultural history of early-twentieth-century Canada.
Jason Wilson approaches Paz's poetics through his relationship with Andre Breton, the surrealist leader. This is a 'spiritual biography' of a poet-thinker; a study of a fertile relationship; a re-evaluation of surrealism and, finally, a coping with those acute problems that all poets and readers of poetry must face in an age lacking an acceptable cultural tradition.
The Andes form the backbone of South America. The mountain range was home to an extraordinary theocratic empire and civilisation, the Incas, who built stone temples, roads, palaces and forts.
