Strange coins, crumpled paper, antique watches - a few of many little treasures shipped to a curious collective of writers, challenging them to tell us a story. They are the writers of the Damn Book Done group. They had Writerly Kits in common; a subscription box that arrived full of items to inspire their writing. They also had in common a desire to spend time with their words, sneaking past inner critics, perfectionism, and all that can stop them, to get their damn books done.It seemed only right that they got one damn book done together, don't you think? And here it is, a collection of poetry and prose prompted by those treasures that landed in the writers' mailboxes.

We humans find it hard to believe God has our best in mind when life gives us painful experiences. This book is about a terrible tragedy that happened to my family. God used this tragedy to reveal precious truths about Himself and in the process, I learned a lot about myself. There are many hinderances to fellowship with God, but they are all on our side. Only embracing the mystery of life and allowing God to have His way will give us peace. I have been inspired by other authors. I pray this book will inspire its readers to get honest with God about themselves and seek Him with all their heart.
