Rosie and Sergei set off on their journey to realise their dreams of skating success. They face tests and qualifiers, success and failure. They meet new friends and Rosie has to face up to the devastation which can be caused by a jealous rival. A wonderful opportunity opens their eyes to the wider world of skating along with the excitement and pleasures that it can bring. But ever present in the background is Rosie's commitment to her business and her workforce. Making it happen is hard work but, with every new experience and Sergei by her side, Rosie grows in confidence and determination - convinced that one day, they will live their dream.
Teenage skater, Rosie, thinks that her dreams have finally been realised when she begins pair skating with her best friend, Sergei. Rosie loves to skate: she has found her element and truly believes that there is no life without skating. She thinks it; lives it; dreams it - accepts its challenges and turns to it for solace. However, having a bratty little sister who is rapidly becoming recognised as a talented gymnast, a mum who already has two jobs to make ends meet and a threat to her lifts to the ice rink, it looks as if Rosie's skating days are numbered. Growing worries over her beloved Nan, the emergence of an unexpected enemy and a school project which takes on a mind of its own, all contribute to changing Rosie's world forever and lead to the realisation of her most secret dream.
