Anybody who has worked on or lived on a farm will be well aware of the urgent "call to arms" when the stock have escaped. This little book rambles through some of the ups and downs of living in a rural area using simple verse.Put the kettle on, sit back and enjoy the read.
This collection of poetry and short stories will take you on the journey that so many are forced to take.I hope it will give a little insight into living with dementia from the personal recollections of a care worker.Hold on tight, it's a bumpy track.
I just can't stop myself! This is my sixth book of poetry and I have gone back to my farming roots with another look at life down on the farm. This book is for all those who appreciate the humour required to work in the great outdoors, especially when animals are involved!Anyone who has a knowledge of farming and the characters that help shape our landscape will understand!
This is my second book of rural rhymes, and it reflects some of the experiences and scrapes I have found myself in over the years. I have attempted to capture in verse a little of the unique spirit and humour of the British farming community. If I have made you smile my job here is done!
This book is a wry collection of poems gleaned from years of working on farms. I have tried to show what life is like on the farm side of the gate and reflect the compassion and humour of the Great British Farmer!
Back page. I am an activities coordinator in a beautiful care home in rural Dorset. This little book of poetry contains many trips down memory lane as well as touching on grief and the demon which is dementia. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions, memories and observations taken from my own journey through life. Grab your tissues, hold on tight and enjoy the trip! ~ A Review ~Jan Millward works at a wonderful care home called The Old Vicarage in Leigh, West Dorset. I have had the opportunity of seeing her work, so caringly with the residents and with such imagination. I thoroughly recommend her book. All the best,
This is my fifth book of poetry and it is a real mixture of my life experiences. There are a sprinkling of rural poems and a smattering about care. I have blended in some of life's petty irritations and balanced it with some of the events that have moulded and shaped my life. It is sometimes more bramble than ramble, but hopefully I will have made you laugh and reflect on this peculiar shared journey that we call life!
