Kalanu Mountain, in Georgia, is a mountain of myth and legend, held sacred to the Cherokee and Creek who once lived in the area. When a man who believes himself to be a Cherokee witch, kidnaps a child and holds her on the mountain, both the Sheriff's Department and the National Guard search for her. A detective recovering from a serious injury soon realizes the searchers are in the wrong place, and the truth lies in the fragile memories of his past. He comes to realize it is up to him to save the child and on the peak of Kalanu Mountain, a witch awaits a bloody confrontation.
