I inherited a diary that my grandmother, May Young had used to collect family recipes. I researched who the recipes had come from and compiled them into a book sharing the recipes and the family stories of the contributors.
Snapshot of life 100 years ago as detailed in letters from Lansing Tiffany to his father and a short biography of Lansing and his family.
This started out to just be a book about the Kirch family, but I found so much inter-marriage, that it is also the story of other families that lived in the Moselle region of France, and their continuing story after they emigrated to America. My mother, Marion Kirch Young and her cousin, Mary Jane Delmarsh both worked with genealogists if France to do research, and MaryJane and her daughter, Kate Dryfoos, worked extensively with Gerard Streiff. Turns out, he too is a relative. Come explore with us the intertwining lives of the Kirch, Streiff, Pillot, Bouckenheim, Haser, and other families that make up my family tree, and my Kirch Connection.
