The Greatest Prophet unwraps Daniel's inspired record recounting major events in his long life as prime minister of the most splendid empires of antiquity. Opening in the midst of war, the book of Daniel reveals the story of everyone's life. We are all in a struggle as to what spiritual power will rule our lives, making the heart the greatest battlefield on earth. Along with Moses and Solomon, Daniel was one of the most learned man in the Old Testament. The reader will learn how Daniel was called, thoroughly trained, matured, and blessed by God for his vital role in history. From teenager to an old man at it this book's conclusion, never once did his faith in God waver. The author relays how events of Daniel's personal life are closely related to and interwoven with his prophecies. His prophetic vision magnifies the principles illustrated by his personal experiences revealing how his prophecies have deeply personal applications. This book contains two parts, the first consists of stories of the Hebrews in Babylonian captivity. The second, more directly apocalyptic in form, consists of visions predicting future events simplifying biblical prophecy and apocalyptic language and revealing a compelling record of God's wisdom and sovereignty. Daniel personally endured the kind of persecution and opposition to the worship of God that he predicts the world will experience in the end. When Daniel prophesied there would be "a time of trouble such as never was," it recalls his terrifying ordeal in the lions' den and that of his friends in the fiery furnace. When he confidently predicted that God's "people shall be delivered," he knew from personal experience of God's awesome power to save. God has impressive credentials. The stories of Daniel revolve around Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar, and God. Daniel's life illustrates the trials and the benefits of a life lived in relationship with God. Nebuchadnezzar's life illustrates the human tendency to go it alone, to find life in achievement, popularity, and riches. But his life also illustrates that no human being, no matter how troubled, arrogant, or abusive, is exempt from God's care and active concern. The hero of these narratives is not Daniel or Nebuchadnezzar. It is God. He is the One in control. He foils the oppressor and takes care of His own. He answers our questions, provides strength for our weaknesses, forgiveness for our shortcomings, and acceptance in our doubts, fears, and struggles. He is everything we need.

Most of us don't know much about David except his killing of Goliath as a youth and his adultery with Bathsheba as a middle-aged man, but there's much more to discover. His house would be cursed by violence and death, not only by his baby dying, but the death of Ammon, Absalom, and Adonijah. This book reveals David's family is one where things aren't normal. Readers will discover that amidst the sunshine are many dark shadows, places where David is a frightened fugitive, a bloody warrior, an undisciplined father, an Eastern Ruler, an adulterer, and polygamist, and even a murderer! The author explains why David's family rejected him and how he grew up despised, shunned, and looked upon as an outcast, treated with scorn and derision. Finally, this book explains what it means to be someone "after God's own heart." While David was a most extraordinary man, in other ways he was a most ordinary man-often gripped by destructive passion, rocked by family chaos and personal tragedy, and motivated by political expediency. Dive into the book to learn how David's life offers hope to us all.

Who is the real Jesus? Is the story of His birth and early life, as generally taught, really true? That's what this book is all about! Many accept and never question what they've read about Jesus' life. Others defend their beliefs and feel no need to examine the evidence why. Few are aware that some stories of Jesus were taken from paganism, misleading traditions, and human reasoning-and not from the Bible. As a result, much of what is believed about Jesus has no biblical basis and often the Bible teaches the exact opposite! As you will see, new facts about the life of Jesus can be gained by combining Biblical texts with secular historical accounts and authentic traditions about the times in which He lived. This book is not a complete history of Jesus' earthly life. It covers aspects of His early life and times that aren't well known. As you read this book, I recommend releasing any preconceived ideas. Investigate what is revealed in the pages of your Bible with an open heart.

While this story reads like a short police report, Cain and Abel's tragic narrative plays a definitive role in the biblical saga called the great controversy. As we review their story, we might assume that if we had a chance to meet Cain and Abel, just by looking, we could easily determine who was the kind Abel and who was the mean-spirited Cain. Are you sure? Would you be surprised to learn Abel was guilty of viewing Cain from a superficial perspective that gave him a misleading impression of his brother? As we study their lives, it's easy for us to have preconceived ideas because we don't know what was going through Cain's mind until Cain's behavior plainly displays it for all of us to see. It's human to be biased. But that's not God's way of judging! This book dives deeper into the story to reveal God's perspective. I invite you to dive in with me as objectively as possible. Don't prejudge. Be persuaded by biblical evidence-wherever it leads you!

This book answers over 100 questions Christians ask about Islam, and in so doing, reveals Islam's greatest need: a saving faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the author's hope that this book provides you with a highly informative perspective as Islam is thoughtfully studied and evaluated within the framework of a biblical worldview.

Truthfulness. Morality. Ethics. Christians face fundamental questions regarding deep issues and everyday problems: Are there situations in life where obedience to God's law is not the most practical solution? Is lying always wrong? Situation ethics attempts to answer questions like these by affirming that doing the loving thing is a higher priority than obedience to God's law. The author endeavors to show how disregard for divine law, though seemingly attractive, reasonable, and practical, is untenable. The book reveals how a situationalist follows a misguided ego rather than an objective standard. Whether we manipulate others to suit our own purposes, lie to avoid embarrassment, or commit a minor indiscretion, it's just a quick fix, something that only lasts for a season. Discover how the eye of faith adheres to God's directives, unblinded by sin's attractive glow; it contemplates a lifetime, it considers eternity.
