Examines forest pests and diseases comprehensively at the global level. This report summarises the results of a thematic study reviewing forest pests in 25 countries; presents profiles of some globally important forest pest species; and discusses select forest trees species and their associated pests.
Introduces some basic principles of the stability of small fishing vessels and provides simple guidance on what fishing vessel crews can do to maintain adequate stability for their vessels. This title is suitable for fishers and their families, fishing vessel owners and boat builders.
The purpose of the consultation was to provide guidance to FAO regarding the development of guidelines for best practices to improve safety at sea in the fisheries sector. The consultation also made recommendations regarding the scope of the guidelines, the special needs of developing countries, and other specific consideration and goals.
Incidental mortality in commercial fisheries around the world is a threat to seabirds and is causing decline in many breeding populations.
