The Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbook-General (FAA-H-8083-30A)(released in 2018) is the latest revision developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as one of a series of three handbooks for persons preparing for the certification exams required for obtaining an Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) certificate with Airframe or Powerplant rating or both (FAA A&P license).
