Charly's prize possession is his dump truck. Each day he drives his truck from one coop to the next, picking up chicken trash, then he heads for the dump. His dog named "Oil" and a neighbor's dog named "Dog" join Charly for the ride. One day he started the engine. Boom! The truck backfired, releasing large puffs of black smoke. It sputtered, shook back and forth, then settled down with a low rumble. "That's a nice sound!" Charly said. Then he spotted Frank and Hank! So Charly floored it! "Frank and Hank have eyes for my dump truck," he said. When Charly wasn't looking, Frank and Hank took Charly's truck for an overnight spin. They drove it to their camp site, tuned up the engine, and gave it a mud bath.Find out how Charly finds his dump truck, and see Charly's new toy. It's purple with yellow and red flames!
"Let's Count From 0-100" follows the pattern of the nursery rhyme "1, 2, Buckle My Shoe; 3, 4 Shut The Door ..." first published in 1805.The Chicks and their coop pets made up their own rhymes when counting from zero to one hundred -- illustrated in the book with bright, colorful pictures. Children can make their own rhymes while learning to count from 0 to 100.
This is a bedtime storybook that can be read to younger children to entertain and enlighten them. Each letter of the alphabet is associated with a name beginning with that letter. The distinction between capital and lower case letters is also shown. Illustrations with Debralee's popular Chicks cartoon characters accompany each letter and name. The book is suitable for bedtime reading, and kids from age 3 can learn to read it on their own.
Pea, one of the chicks, has a cat named Puffy Cat. Puffy Cat couldn't keep up with the other cats in the area, but he was brave. He made friends with a big dog named Oil and had a pet mouse named Harry. The chicks made the kitties hammocks for sleeping and a ramp to help Puffy Cat go over the fence. One day Puffy Cat noticed his fur was a dull blue. So the chicks took him to the Cat Cut and Dye Salon. To thank the chicks for his new fur-do, he made them a paw painting. You Can see Puffy Cat's paintings in the book.
Charly returned from his favorite yard sale with a new book called WHY? Charly's new book had answers to questions like: Why do dogs smell bad when they're wet? Which way do carousels turn? Why do firehouses have fire poles and Dalmatian dogs? Why do hot dog links come ten to a package and hot dog buns come eight to a package? How many colors are there in the rainbow, and what's the biggest spider in the world? The chicks used their new book to answer everyday why's?
