Inspired by memories of living in the mountain community of Cohasset, California during my preteen years, this fictional novel portrays not only my life on the ridge, but the life of four other boys that preceded me. To give credibility to each story segment, actual historical events and methods are used to accomplish tasks, specific to the period. The book is enhanced by the drawings of Richard Colby, retired art professor, illustrating scenes depicted in my text. Nach den ersten beiden Zuteilungsperioden (2005-2007 und 2008-2012) des europäischen CO2-Emissionshandelssystems und dem Auslaufen des Kyoto-Protokolls Ende 2012 wird es ab 2013 deutlich verschärfte Regelungen und Mechanismen für die betroffenen Wirtschaftsbereiche geben, unabhängig davon, ob es ein globales Nachfolgeabkommen des Kyoto-Protokolls geben wird oder nicht. Denn die EU hat sich weiterhin einem verstärkten Kampf gegen die Klimaerwärmung verschrieben.Ziel dieser Studie ist es, einen umfassenden Überblick der aus dem Emissionshandel resultierenden Auswirkungen auf die betroffenen Wirtschaftsbereiche in Deutschland zu geben. Nach der Darstellung der Hintergründe werden Möglichkeiten aufgezeigt, wie sich die Unternehmen auf die zukünftigen Herausforderungen des CO2-Emissionshandels einstellen können, um weiterhin wettbewerbsfähig bleiben zu können.Dazu werden zunächst die ökonomischen Prinzipien der verschiedenen umweltpolitischen Instrumente vorgestellt. Für die Industrieunternehmen wird insbesondere auf die Kosten- und globalen Wettbewerbsrisiken aufgrund steigender Kosten durch den Emissionshandel eingegangen.Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse einer vom Bundeswirtschaftsministerium beauftragten Studie dargestellt, die die Auswirkungen des Emissionshandels über die betroffenen Sektoren hinaus auf die Gesamtwirtschaft Deutschlands nach 2013 aufzeigen.

The second volume to PENCIL DRAWINGS, by David J. Vanderpool, this 149 page book shows how the artist completed 16 drawings of men who have entered his life through the years. Unlike volume one of this series,"Pencil Drawings - a look into drawing portraits", which was presented entirely in a journal-style format, here only the first four drawings featured keep to that format. The remaining drawings will not only show the step-by-step process it took to complete each drawing, but answers a question that was submitted just for that drawing. With masterfully crafted graphite pencil drawings at their best, this book is an excellent addition to those who have already collected Volume 1. In fact - it's encourage to collect all in the series to have a full understanding on how this artist draws with all lines.
