In theory, our parents often want the best for their children and do everything they can to shape and guide them into the best people they can be. Somewhere along the way, parents become overwhelmed with not only their daily tasks, but also with life in general, and planning does not always go as planned. When many of us reach adulthood, we are often so fragmented by the various variables in our lives that we simply remain stagnant, and the life we live is a far cry from anything we ever hoped or dreamed for ourselves. That begs the question, are you chasing someone else's dream? Is this where you expected to be in life, and do you have a clear idea of what dreams you may have had and could be pursuing if you had received the proper programming throughout your life?

Frequently, the mother-daughter relationship is tricky; you either have the closest link or a tumultuous one. My relationship with my mother was a combination of both. Years passed before we were ultimately on the same page, but the outcomes were so unexpected and inexplicable. My mother was the source of my most important life lessons. I witnessed her at the pinnacle of her existence, and while she endured hardships and tribulations, I went through the same experiences. We grew close during a moment in my life when I needed her the most, and over time she became my inspiration and driving force. But all good things must come to an end, and as we reached the conclusion of our voyage together, I was able to see and learn more from my mother. As she faded from my life, I also gained insight from her passing, and I wouldn't give a second of her presence for anything. She was a priceless gift that God gave to me until he required her return.
