I have written this book in response to the Journey which took me through many different stages of life. For growing up as the son of a share cropper in a very small town in North Alabama known as Falkville, we were very poor which carried with it a very low self-esteem. Living in an age of segregation it was very difficult to even imagine being able to rise from the poverty that existed. But God! It was following my graduation from high school that God's providence was upon me. I lived a ruthless life for about three years and at the age of twenty-one I received Jesus as my Savior. What a change came in my life. Following my salvation experience, I began to discover who I was in Christ, what I have and what I could do in Christ and my low self-esteem became a vibrant God-esteem which led me to attend Bible College. I received a BA and BTH Degree from Birmingham Baptist Bible College and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Birmingham Theology Seminary and in the process, I have Pastored forty-three years which involved three churches with me Pastoring thirty-seven years at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where I presently preside. This Book is the results of My Journey which attempted to detail what brought me from a life of low self-esteem, poverty and a ruthless lifestyle to a life of a rich God-esteem and a supporter of the Kingdom of God in every way. {For God has blessed me to preach the Gospel internationally in Albania and Uganda, Africa, where I am the overseer of a church that our church has established in Gulu and its sole supporter. I have been traveling there for the past five years overseeing and preaching the Gospel. My destiny is in the process of being fulfilled.} I believe the concepts and principles in this Book will truly be a help in you coming into and fulfilling Your Destiny. My prayer is that The Fulfillment of God Given Destiny will become your road map on Your Journey.

This book chronicles the war between the European colonists of New England and the Native American Pequot tribe in the 17th century.Counting as the first large-scale conflict between the incipient colonial settlers and Native American peoples, the series of skirmishes that constitute the Pequot War are an important episode in North American history. The Pequot tribe were dominant in Connecticut, their leadership being markedly hostile in contrast to the friendliness and cooperation of other tribes. As the accounts in this book testify, the battles proved increasingly costly for the Pequot tribe. Initially the Pequot mounted daring raids and insurgencies into the coastal territory of the colonists, taking captives and wreaking havoc in towns and outposts. However, the alliance between the European settlers and the Mohegan and Narragansett tribes quickly gained momentum; the tables turned, and eventually the entire Pequot tribe was routed, with its remnants sold into slavery or kept as captives.

The superb analyses of Charles Orr into the essential nature of Christianity and God in the world are underappreciated classics. This edition includes Orr's notes, appended at the end of each chapter.Based off a series of lectures delivered in the late 19th century, this work delves into the essential truths of the Christian character. What it means to be a follower of Christ, and how the Christian views the world around him, is but the initial foray of an author determined to unveil the meanings behind the spirituality. The place of Jesus as an exemplar to all Christians is investigated, with Orr giving us a variety of scholarly views on how the life and deeds of Christ can and are viewed by believers.Orr then broadens his examination into theism in general: the human being holding a theistic outlook upon the world is sure to derive comfort and meaning from his beliefs. The loss of this is, in the opinion of Orr and the scholars he cites, equivalent to a great misfortune. The modern trends of thought toward atheism, which deny the presence of a Creator, are investigated - Orr's inquiries reveal the negativistic elements of these views.Later lectures in this volume include a deep and penetrating analysis of sin and its occurrence in the world, beginning with a note of its persistence - moral evils and wrongdoing continue apace in the world, in spite of Christian efforts to thwart it. The author compares and contrasts the traditional methods whereby Christians view and combat sinfulness, but also finds much common ground between the judicial and philosophical attitudes to human sin. Notably, Orr observes how sin has multiplied in modern times, with knowledge of many examples travelling far and wide rather than being confined to a locality.Concluding with a look into the character of Christ and his centrality to Christianity, Orr finishes by examining the relation of the savior with humanity's destiny. The appendix appended concerns the Kingdom of God, and how the Bible defines and describes its occurrence. Finally, this volume concludes with further, long-form annotations to each lecture.

The English of the 17th century accounts is preserved; spellings and language are different from that we know today. However, the attentive narrations of Charles Orr - a historian working in the late 19th century - clarify the information each source offers.
