Hope is part of the design of humanity. We were innatelycreated to desire and to be fulfilled. The uncomfortable reality is that hopeoften hurts, especially when the journey requires waiting in faith and enduringuntold disappointments or detours. ┬áLiving in the tension of hope deferred requires greatcourage. Life presents us all with numerous opportunities to pacify desire withtemporary substitutes or to kill hope and embrace numbness or bitterness. Thewise person will not give up on hope but rather contend for true fulfillment,no matter how long or arduous the wait. ┬áUsing the backdrop of her own narrative as a single womantrusting God''s plan, Casey wrestles with the concept of hope deferred in lightof God''s goodness and his promises. Casey has served in full-time ministry for over ten years,investing in leadership‑training, mentoring, and global missions as well asteaching internationally. She served on staff at The City Church in Seattle,WA, and in Ventura, CA, with the Generation Intern Program. She obtained amaster''s degree in Missiology from Regent University in Virginia Beach.┬áCasey has a heart to train this generation in biblical truthand practical wisdom and to see young leaders reach their full potential inChrist. She also has a passion for food and languages, interculturaldiscipleship, women''s ministry, humanitarian relief work, and adventure. Caseycurrently resides in Jerusalem, Israel.
