Tender Fjord is the story of a northern Minnesota woman's connection with a man in northern Norway and the impact it had on her life. Through a sometimes intensely intimate email correspondence and journal written during a four-year period, Anne Ellingsen details her struggles with depression, her difficult life experiences, her Christian faith, and her love for the Norwegian doctor who has such a great influence on her life. Anne believes that several extraordinary coincidences, discovered both in Moorhead and when she moves to St. Paul to study theology, are "signs" from God that she is on the right path in life, and it all begin with a correspondence with one "Ole Olson."
