Female serial killers are incredibly rare because the women, in general, are not prone to murdering more than one person. Even if they do, they usually use poison or kill their victims in a non-violent way. Brutality is not common, and it is more prominent when the authorities are dealing with a male killer. However, Irina Viktorovna Gaidamachuk does not match the standard description of a serial murderer. She didn't kill because she thought it was fun or felt an urge to take someone's life. Instead, Irina did it because she needed money to feed her ever-growing alcohol addiction which did fit into the profile because she killed in order to gain wealth.
Some criminal cases truly divide the public, and the murder of a wealthy Irish businessman Jason Corbett was certainly one of them. He was viciously killed by his second wife Molly Corbett and her father Thomas. Even though the killers claimed that it was self-defense because Jason tried to strangle Molly, the evidence spoke a different story. It was clearly a planned killing that had a different goal - securing Molly with the life insurance money and gaining the custody of Jason's children. She met Jason while she worked as an au pair and got very attached to the youngsters. The police conducted a thorough investigation that shocked everyone involved. It was clear that the murder was personal and that Molly got rid of Jason in a most horrific way because he wanted to leave her and move back to Ireland. She couldn't allow that to happen and she probably asked her father, a retired FBI agent to help her get Jason out of the picture so she could continue to live a lavish life in a large mansion located inside of a gated community. It is unclear if Molly had any psychological issues at the time of the slaying, but she was diagnosed with bipolar depression in the past which could explain her erratic behavior that cost this innocent man his life.
As shocking as it might seem, there are over 100,000 missing person cases active in the United States this very second. While the majority of them are eventually found, there is a large percentage of those who have been gone for years. The police extended their investigations as much as they could, and they reached the very end because there was no new information. Finally, those cases simply turn cold.Missing person cases are particularly difficult for both families and friends. All of them are left without answers about what happened to their loved one, and they are constantly waiting for a break in the case, hoping they will have closure. The Daniels family lived through all of this in the summer of 2013 when their daughter Tiffany went missing one afternoon. It is one of the most perplexing cases in the history of Pensacola, Florida that still puzzles the investigators.
