Alban Butler (1710-1773) was an English Roman Catholic Priest. He spent thirty years studying the saints, culminating in him publishing his great work, The Lives of the Fathers, Martyrs and Other Principal Saints. The book has passed through many editions and translations and is now available, once again, in four books.This book (Book One - January to March) features a biography of Butler, a table of contents, an index of saints, a preface and some introductory remarks.
