Cromulent Cameo is a quintessential collection of poems reflecting the contemporary struggle to bridge the gap between society's traditional narrative of life and the youth's perception of it. "A Yearning Recollection" invites readers to navigate the labyrinth of human emotions, with a particular focus on the profound sense of loss and anguish when relationships unravel. Through lyrical and flowery verses, these words articulate the complexities of both being enamoured with an individual, and then parting ways, capturing the raw essence of heartbreak and the lingering ache that accompanies the void left by departed connections. Deeply personal and full of vignettes, this collection addresses thoughtful questions about the human existence and how our relationships with ourselves and others can affect the perspective of life, and how healing is not linear, but ultimately possible. This poetry collection becomes a soulful companion for those seeking solace in the shared experience of navigating the bittersweet terrain of lost relationships, both in terms of others and self. Following the journey of love, loss, hurting, healing, and then manifestation in art, "A Yearning Recollection" is a testament to the resilience that it takes in order to truly make peace with oneself and those that have been left behind.

Inspirations is a collection of photographs, each accompanied by a poem depicting Constanze Hawkins' love of the natural world. The poems capture the thoughts and wonder inspired by the photos. Constanze herself took all of the photographs, mostly near her Perth home on the grounds of the University of Western Australia. Even the photo of the peacock was taken at UWA, which has a few peacocks and peahens roaming freely in its gardens. The photos accompanying the poems 'Before the Storm, ' 'Canal Rocks, ' 'Ocean Winter, ' and 'Shrine' were taken south of Perth in Western Australia's iconic Margaret River region. love & gaia is about humanity, the universe, the sky, the ocean, the wind, the Earth. It is about love, animals, trees, plants, and human consciousness. An epic book of poetry that is an ode to our beautiful planet Earth and all its miracles, tragedies, and energy forces. It is a combination of diverse themes that populate our Earth - from the destruction of the ozone layer, to planets, the sun and moon; each poem has a memory with a story to tell. These narratives are raw, pure, and otherworldly, as Christina Strigas gives life to a true poet's spirit in love with nature. In her sixth book of poetry, and an end to the trilogy Love & Vodka, Love & Metaxa, and now Love & Gaia, we see a shift in Strigas's writing as the shift in the universe is bringing together a higher consciousness. Poems for a new love of Gaia and our connection to its energy.
In Proof of Existence, Phyllis Becker explores her African American family's history from 19th century Fitchburg, Massachusetts, to her own coming of age in Kansas City. Ancestors and relatives like her great aunts Katherine, a stage performer, and Ruth, a missionary to Liberia, defied conventional expectations of their times. She comes to recognize how the courage and creativity of her forbears helped set her on her own artistic path as a poet.
These poems consider love in numerous ways--in myth, in the natural world, in passion, in family. This first chapbook collection by poet and novelist Linda Rodrigez, includes work that has previously appeared in such publications as New Letters, Plainswoman, and Z Miscellaneous.
Straddling genres--prose poetry, micro memoir, fairy tale, autofiction--Where Will We Live If the House Burns Down is first and foremost the story of a marriage. Borrowing elements from surrealist writer and artists, it explores the affects of chronic illness, disability, and a spouse's gender transition. All of these issues swirl through the central marital relationship and the daily lives of its two lead characters, Sergeant and Grim--even as the book's narrator, unreliable and unobjective, increasingly takes center stage. Reminiscent as much of contemporary fiction by writers like Sabrina Orah Mark and Sarah Shun-Lien Bynum as of poets or memoirists, this book is as engrossing as it is experimental, traversing complicating difficult domestic and emotional terrain by way of Allison Blevins' vivid imagination.
A new collection of poetry from David Trinidad, author of DIGGING TO WONDERLAND.

Caught in the midst of our own tragic and personal hell, and just a month before the onset of our country's Covid 19 debacle, I made a decision to sit down each morning and write a poem about a memory, that is if I could remember one. And what began as an exercise to somehow save my childhood for posterity morphed into something quite different from what I first imagined it would be. Sure, a few childhood memories did crop up, but my wife's daily pain and suffering a mere fifty feet or so away from where I sat writing emphasized how connected to the present we really were. While I was hunkered down in my Florida Panhandle storage shack, she was literally almost dying nearby, trapped in our travel trailer we had called home for two years. Old and unexplained injuries, and the somehow related and accompanying neurological condition that followed, were constantly wreaking havoc in her poor brain and body, making her in ways temporarily insane. Plus our daughter was suffering in her own hell from the ravages of cancer twenty-five hundred miles away. The emotional turmoil involved in this relentless and vicious whole-body wreckage was often unbearable for all of us. And that is why my childhood memories often segued into subjects that exerted more pressing demands. The one-hundred and eight poems to follow could likely be grouped into a few segments or chapters allowing for the range of experiences from 2019 through 2022. This book of poems is now a chronologically saved recording of certain stories, or worlds, regarding some of the people who have been so alive and present in it.

In her first collection of poems, Zenobia Lundy takes us into the heart of West Philadelphia during the years following the arrival of thousands of black families who came north during the Great Migration seeking jobs and a better future. Lundy's neighborhood and the world beyond becomes highly alive in her hands as she explores the depth and breadth of ordinary black people in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement and into the 21st century. Intimate, at times painful, portraits bring us into the heart of what connects us all no matter our beliefs or skin color; and offers a hopeful future.
This book wouldn't be possible without my mom. She's supported me and believed in what I've tried to do throughout my life. Special thanks to all three of the idiots at Two Idiots Peddling Poetry. The community they've created is something special. I'm grateful to have a space where I can be myself and be embraced in all of what that means. To anyone who has ever taken the time to read my work or listen to what I've shared, thank you. I only hope to be able to keep doing this for as long as I'm able to. Gratitude for being a part of my journey helping me walk my path. BiographyJonathan Humanoid writes poems and is constantly confused. Car l'unique beauté du fugace séjour Que l'on fait ici-bas, son unique pourquoi Est dans l'expression du fraternel amour Qu'on nomme humanité, qui nous est une loi. Karmageitin (Karma Goat) and Gentukamarið ("A Girl's Room") are a literary pair, each having its own expression and character. They are written in two different genres, poems (Karma Goat) and a play (A Girl's Room). The works can be read in any order, and are not linearly or causally connected, but rather as two nested works, where the dialogues of the drama, the movements of the poems, the states of mind and the physical spaces, grow into each other. As the title A Girl's Room indicates, it is about a female protagonist. The same is the case in Karma Goat. Here we follow the poet as a middle-aged woman. The poems are located in the woman's home, but arise and grow out of her childhood bedroom. It is from here that the poet's perception of the world springs, and here that it is linked to the family. The room has been passed down from the aunt to the poet. A remarkable insistence is found in the movement of the poems; a longing and a desire to become part of the world, but the desire to connect is turned inside out and returns home to the girl's childhood bedroom, or the kitchen of midlife crisis; not necessarily out of a direct longing for home, but as a necessity. As soon as the poem has returned home, the poet is made invisible and exhaustion sets in, and so begins the growing of a new longing.
Rhymed poetry to comfort the grieving, to soothe the anxious or depressed, and to lift the spirits of caregivers of the elderly or loved ones with Alzheimer's. Included are poems addressing stressful family issues such as wayward children, divorce, addiction, or when a new perspective is needed. These poems were initially written for specific individuals and situations, but I began sharing them with others because of their universal applicability. Headings for each poem contain explanations about the challenges being faced and sometimes name the person/s for whom it was written. While no scripture quotations are given, faith in God is evident throughout. I warmly invite you to read, be comforted, and be inspired by the words God has given me. Please share your favorite poems with others so they too can be blessed by them, or perhaps, gift your friends with a book of their own!
