Too often fear holds us back from reaching the dreams we all desperately grasp for. In the world of Mexican Immigrants living in the United States, that despair is frequently more real to them than their own existence. The poetry in this book is my journey written in the binds of times that weren't always pretty. Be gentle with my work; I promise you'll find it to be gentle with you, too.

""The most impactful forces that we can understand are felt but never seen. A Poetic Guide to the Most Powerful Forces on Earth is a poetry collection that explores the beauty and strength of invisible elements that impact and shape our existence. While some forces described can be easily identified with our other senses, there are many others that profoundly impact our lives unnoticed and [for the most part] unacknowledged. This collection does not aim to, broadly, transcend the limits of the invisible. This work contains interpretations of fictional accounts, poetic interpretations of experiences shared, and personal life experiences. This does not deny that there is a mysterious, enchanting draw to intangible forces. Inasmuch as they may delight, is also important to acknowledge the negative if for no other reason that the positive, the best, cannot exist without it.""

Poems from a lost soul on my own healing journey. Life doesn't quite ever turn out like you expected it. In my darkest hour, I came to the realization that it was me who held the power and control to make this a life worth living. My therapist suggested journaling for me to explore this new period of growth and mindfulness; I felt conflicted, worried that I didn't know how to write. She warmly reminded me that judgments have no place in mindfulness. I took a leap of faith with determination and wrote what I know. Dark and light, love and pain...this book is Twenty-one steps I took in a new direction and my trek along the way. Life can be dark and lonely, my hope with this book is that you never feel completely alone in your story.

In navigating grief and mental health struggles, I often felt like some emotions were unwelcome visitors in my brain. When I thought on that idea of emotions as visitors, I asked myself "What else visits me?" I thought about how people, plants, animals, natural occurrences, etc. are all visitors in some way. I tried to approach each poem through a lens of being visited-- I wanted to address how these visits happen, how they feel, and the impressions each of these visits leaves on me. I also asked myself "What else gets visited?" I tried to capture what it feels like to be visited as well as the impressions that are left on other people and things that are visited. I hope you enjoy exploring these poems and that they can be welcome visitors to you.

This book emerged as a supercluster of all the emotions that I theorized existed. Each and every poem was born initially as a technical tool to examine these sensations and provide them an empiric approach. Gradually, the subjectivity of I: the human examinar, became evident and the writing lost all their research objectives while adopting a new approach: Feeling.
