Dear Stranger, Dear Beloved, My Old FriendA poetry collection by Aurora Leonhart.Aurora is a survivor of child sex trafficking and narcissistic abuse. This collection centers around the grief, sadness, confusion, anger, and at times, the humor that comes along with healing after abuse. A cathartic release of emotions, Aurora hopes to comfort those who have known the darker aspects of a childhood defined by neglect, and honor the ones who often go unheard."I'm so good at being alone (now)I'm so damn good at being alone (now)I have so much love for you, Dear strangerDear belovedMy old friend"
Liuvan Herrera Carpio

A story of love for another, and realising what love is to bring it for your own very self. No matter what. Love for yourself, needs to be core throughout it all.The first chapter, Lost, looks back upon darkness and scars previously left upon your soul. The second chapter, Now, looks at the process of learning and its associated confusion and journey. While the final chapter Feeling Human, is the culmination of lessons gradually and painfully learnt about feeling human, accepting its warmth as it grows throughout your soul.

This poetry anthology contains work by 19 BIPOC artists around the world. At Beyond the Veil Press, we always focus on mental health awareness and this collection was given the prompt: Revolution as Invention. In the vast existence of humanity, each of us overcomes our own personal revolution and evolution as we tap into the true meaning of who we are and where we want to go. "Songs from Another Sun" invites you to embark on a poetic journey, where verses are the collective framework of shared human experience. This anthology is not merely a collection of poems; but stories of resilience, the pulsating beats of revolution, the haunting refrains of trauma, and the steps needed to heal oneself and those around us. As you delve into these intimate glimpses of personal struggles, you will encounter the art of overcoming the past and looking forward to a future where the lessons become the teachers. Poets share their navigation through tumultuous currents of personal and collective struggle and through the cadence of their verses, you will feel the pulse of triumph over adversity. "Songs from Another Sun" is not only the personal experience of revolution, but it shows us the societal barriers that are experienced in day-to-day life. These poems echo the resilient voices of those who dared to challenge the brutal reality of the status quo, offering glimpses into the transformative power of rebellion. Within these pages, poets confront ancestral pain and the make up of their personal history crafting verses that serve as reminders of wounds passed down through the ages. They remind us about the responsibility of not repeating these patterns and exploring reparations and what it means to find healing from the situations that caused harm. These poems acknowledge that even within the complexity of our existence, we can create our own sanctuary where we live the life that we want. These poems are not just reflections of distant suns and people's individual galaxies; they are beacons of light urging us to confront ourselves in ways that we haven't before. Dear reader, as you take in each piece of someone's personal galaxy, let the verses guide you through your own journey of resilience, revolution, and healing.-Andres Sanchez, author of "This Body" The universe is an unforgiving place. Because of its vastness it can seem pitiless. The stars that have exploded and shined their light across the galaxies may have taken the lives of trillions as they did. What can we do because of that? What have we done with this knowledge? Carried on with our daily affairs. Looked on our phones to laugh, cry, get angry, get sad, get even. Looked up into the night and tried to hear, just for a moment, the songs a member of a dying race may have sung, that was carried here on the solar winds. Or maybe, just maybe, we have looked to one another, really looked, and realized that each of us is a sun, a constellation, a majesty unlike anything else in the universe. Each of us celestial beings has dealt with struggle and pain, but has persevered to transform ourselves using the words of deities, and weaved songs of infinity. These songs transcend the gutter, they make it rain on the wounds of the fathers and mothers, they salve the bruises of the policeman's baton, they break the chains of caste and slavery. They hold us when we have been rejected, and inspire us to continue when our bodies just could not go on, they show us how to love the melanin in our skin. This volume, Songs From Another Sun, is a collection of people creating a revolution of reinvention. It is the sound of earth shuddering and then singing that its people have arrived, that they are loved, and that they love you. Come along and sing. -Sean Felix, author of "Did you even know I was here?"

To think, we have only yet caught a glimpse, a glimmer, a twinkling of our own vastness! Growing older encompasses an exploration of outside spaces and places, but most importantly, our own depths and heights, too. A perennial flowering, periods of seasonal contraction and expansion, joyful surprises offered by love and wonderment right alongside shattering griefs and time-stopping devastations. This mortal coil is not for the meek. We have had to grow the muscles for living amid this swirl of uncertainty. What helps grow these muscles? If you are here now, you probably believe reading is a valuable path to making meaning, to spotting land when lost in restless seas, to grabbing hold of hands and ropes offered by the magicians of the written word. Poetry carries magic, transmits spirit, evokes awakenings, I hope you can agree. Much can be said with so few words. You might experience an infusion of understanding, a homecoming you didn't know you needed, a sanctuary where your overwhelming emotions can be embraced and held softly, supportively. That is my wish for you, as you read the poems in this book over time. From the sacred pilgrimage of love to the delicate steps taken by a curious deer, from the longed-for song and summoning of the common robin in springtime to the invitation of the nestling looking skyward with her beak open, carrying trust and hope on her developing wings-these are but a handful of inspirations found within All We Wish To Be. Please walk with me under these stars for a spell, as the language of poetry illuminates our lives, our hearts, encouraging us onward and, most enchantingly, allowing us to see all the points of light and possibility that dwell right here inside of us. ...come JulyI will not forget this noveltyI will not take for grantedthis common bird who is telling meyou do not have be extraordinaryto sing but to sometimes forget the worldand remember the earthto createsomething out of nothingwith your singular voiceand soto dance with the godsjust because... we are aliveand that is exceptional reason enough --from "The Common Robin"
A collection of love, death, and heartbreak. Hopeless: Romantic and Hurtful captures the moments where life is Romantic or Hurtful. The poems pull you into the moment, and help you embrace your emotions.

This poetry book uses dichotomies in ways that they do not seem opposite, but rather integrated and co-existing, co-dependable. Moreover, there is a heavy influence of philosophy, theology, and even new ways of looking at concepts that could be viewed as a dichotomy. The creation of this poetry volume started from the premise that there is no absolute good or bad (evil), there are nuances pertaining to each of the two that makes good and evil dance together in ways that only your personal perceptions would define the value (good or bad). I consider this volume characteristic to my style of poetry writing, as it is more thoughtful and philosophical in nature, as opposed to the Lust series, which takes a more playful writing with a naive approach even though it also deals with dark features. Dual Entities to me is one of the 3 pieces and second to be released (after the erotic influenced Lust) that I personally consider defining for my poetry writing style. The 3rd to be released soon.
This collection of poetry and story looks at modern ways of survival and finding purpose and hope. From the literal tilling of soil (but it's poetry, so there's always a deeper meaning, right?) to raising children in a pandemic, one genetically predisposed to struggle, to exploring the history of god in feminine archetypes and asking the question of what happens if we defy the poet Dylan Thomas and do go gentle into that good night?
A collection of poetry for Freemasons to enjoy and share.
The majority of the poems in this book were set to music and can be heard on my album Speech Acrobats. They mostly constitute the latter part of over two-hundred poetry reflections, which, over the course of several years, have made their appearance spontaneously and unbidden.
