This book is a collection of photos I took during the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020 when I was somewhat stuck in Attica in Greece. For the first lockdown from March to May 2020 I was staying in the small coastal town of Nea Makri just outside of Athens, on the other side of the Penteli hills to the north of the city. I had become acquainted with the costal paths of Nea Makri and Marathon before the lockdown and as it was enforced spent more time in the hills of Dimosio Dasos Rapentosas. In the winter the winds on the coastline of Nea Makri and Marathon were fresh and chilled with the backdrop of the snow-covered hills of hills that separated the towns from Athens it was a refreshing change from what I was used to in Miami. When the lockdowns came, I was lucky enough to have the empty beaches to myself. The hills and valleys of Dimosio Dasos Rapentosas gave me plenty to explore and while the vast majority of people throughout Europe were confined to their homes. I spent my days wandering hills and cooling off under the waterfalls, in the crystal-clear pools and streams that are hidden in the valleys. Dimosio Dasos Rapentosas and the small Orthodox Chaples in the area hold a strong energy that was enhanced by the numerous thunderstorms. A very clean, strong, and positive energy. In mid-June 2020 I moved into Athens where I spent 10 weeks writing a book "Reglas Mexicanas" which I should have written 18 months earlier and was completed with the help of too much local wine and ouzo. As I was recovering from this and getting back into the business mindset lockdown two appeared on the horizon. I waited in Athens until early January before I left as I was unable to do business during the strict lockdown. But I was able to wander the empty city... It was strange to see such a vibrant city empty. And also, to see the people who were normally warm and friendly change to cool and doubtful. Athens is a city I am very comfortable in for some reason and maybe wandering it's ancient empty and peaceful streets helped me to feel the real city beneath the usual traffic and urban bustle. Many of those I know say they envy my adventures and travels which I understand, I also know I am very lucky to experience what I do. All I can say, especially these days, is that I wish the places and people I was fond of were closer together as I know there are some sadly, I will never see in person again. This book is not about politics its about a place Athens, Attica in Greece. I hope you have the imagination the feel the atmosphere and smell the environments in which these photos were taken. If you get the chance, please, go and wander around Attica!Orlando W.

  • - Tourism, Honeymoon, Holiday, Business, History and Environmental study
    av Bobby Chapman
    379,-

Minneapolis, Minnesota Travel guide, USA. Tourism, Honeymoon, Holiday, Business, History and Environmental study In the last half of the 20th century, famed architects like Jacques Herzog, Pierre de Meuron and Frank Gehry transformed the quiet Midwestern farming cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul into a booming cultural metropolis, complete with the contemporary Walker Art Center and the Weisman Art Museum. Minneapolis and St. Paul's artistic, architectural and theatrical renaissance has made this region of the Midwest culturally fertile. Case in point check out the cities' innovative live music and nightlife scene, which once nurtured the careers of greats like Prince and Bob Dylan. Joined by roughly 10 miles of urban sprawl, these fraternal twin cities were named as such to remind outsiders looking in of their differences. Originally, Irish and German immigrants built St. Paul, while Scandinavians settled in Minneapolis. St. Paulites hold tight to their heritage, continuing architectural styles and beer brewing traditions. However, the Minneapolitans proudly favor modern progress. Residents are quick to distinguish the two, but visitors usually find it difficult. The buildings act as good markers of distinction: Minneapolis is cutting-edge, tall, and modern; St. Paul is short, historical and modest. The contrast (and competition) only enhances the character of this coupled metropolitan area.

Honduras Travel. Tourism. Excursion routes in Honduras will attract those tourists who are keen on history. In this country, you will see ruins of ancient temples, visit old cities and learn many interesting stories about Maya tribes. Besides that, resorts of this country are famous for their wonderful nature. Exotic trees, flowers and tropic forests can be seen everywhere in the country. There are also many beautiful parks in cities. Comayagua town is home to one of the most famous religious buildings in the country. This is Santa Maria Cathedral. The building belongs to one of the best examples of the colonial period architecture. The grand opening of the cathedral took place in 1711. Initially, there were 16 altars in the church, but unfortunately only 4 altars have survived. The altars are the biggest treasure of the cathedral. They are made of wood and decorated with magnificent gliding and carved ornament. The bell tower has a clock that was gifted to the city by Philipp II in order to celebrate the opening of the cathedral. Despite the fact that the clock is nearly a thousand years old, it still works and remains the main symbol of Comayagua. Several important tourist sights are located in the city of Tegucigalpa. Basilica of Our Lady of Suyapa is one of the most famous landmarks of the city. The building of the basilica has been started in 1952 and still continues. The statue of Our Lady of Suyapa, who is considered the protector of the city, is the main relic of the church. The statue is taken out of the church on important holidays, so that everyone can pray to it. Fans of art and sculpture are recommended to visit the National Art Gallery, the 12 halls of which exhibit different collections. The building itself is also very interesting. It was constructed in 1654, and initially the first university of the country occupied its premises. Besides the permanent exhibition, the gallery often exhibits collections of modern art, so residents and guests of the city can see works of young talented artists.

Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia Guide. Saudi Arabia has always been a large centre of pilgrimage. Despite the fact that this country doesn't do much to promote its tourism industry, every year the country is visited by thousands of travelers, who want to see beautiful ancient cities and internationally famous sanctuaries. Several important tourist objects are located in the capital of country, the city of Riyadh. Here travellers are recommended to visit the Masmak Fortress that was built in the middle of the 19th century. The fortress was a witness of many important historic events, and since its building it changed owners several times. Initially, the fortress was used as a warehouse, and later a museum was opened in it. Diriyah is a very interesting and old city located not far away from the capital. Travelers are recommended visit this place as they will find many fascinating attractions there. Beautiful palaces, mosques and a thick protective wall remind of the past glory of this place. Diriyah was founded in 1446 and for more than three centuries the city was the most prosperous settlement of the Middle East. In the beginning of the 19th century, the city was completely destroyed by the Turks. After that, Diriyah was carefully restored during many years, and nowadays it's a very interesting research center for scientists and archaeologists. There are also modern buildings in the capital, and they deserve close attention. Kingdom Centre is considered one of the most famous skyscrapers in Riyadh. The height of the building is 311 metres, and its 47 floors have become home for numerous offices, conference halls, sports clubs, restaurants and a five-star hotel.

Norway. Guide to Tourism. It's simply impossible to mention all landmarks and places of interest in Norway as absolutely every part of this country is rich in natural and historic places of interest. The capital of the country, Oslo, is a must visit destination and a great place to start exploration of the country. There are several historic buildings in the central part of Oslo. The capital has a great mix of new and old, and so old houses here border with modern skyscrapers. The majority of historic buildings have been transformed into museums and exhibition halls. The capital is a perfect destination for unhurried walks; travelers will find here several theatres, large trading centres and restaurants. The city of Bergen will be even more interesting in terms of the number of excursions. The famous Hanseatic waterfront is considered the heart of the city. Bergenhus Fortress, the building of which took place in the middle of the 13th century, is a no less interesting destination. There is one more interesting landmark near the fortress Rosenkrantz Tower that was built three centuries later. The fish market is also a prominent place in the city. It has worked on one of the city's squares for more than 700 years. Art connoisseurs are recommended to visit the Museum of Art, where they will be able to see works of Picasso, Munk and Miro. On the shore of a lake one can see a beautiful building a mansion of Edvard Grieg, better known under the name Troldhaugen

Jerome, Arizona was a major mining town in Arizona and is now a major tourist town with a regular population of around five hundred, which surges to thousands in the tourist season. Visit ghosts, bars, hotels, churches, and sidewalks that only go up.The streets are filled with shops, bars, more shops, more bars, and jam packed restaurants that sometimes take a two hour wait to be seated, but the wait is worth the experience. While on the way, stop by Fort Verde in Camp Verde to see the parade field, buildings, and learn a little about General Crook. If staying overnight, make reservations early because Jerome become "The Destination Point" for many in Arizona and other states. Motorcycles? Yes, it seems to be a trip destination for Harley Davidson Motorcycles as well as other brands. All are welcome. Street parking is a "situation" as the sidewalks only lead uphill. Grin. Fort Verde is nearby and is a historic fort under the command of General Grant. It is worth a visit as you drive to or from Jerome.

This vision could be a of a conversationalist, nature lover or just someone who likes to see that beautiful things remain beautiful. So let's go on this Safari together....
