This photo book is a collection of art projects that I did promoting my message Imagine a world drunk on love. It includes quotes about imagination and examples of acts of kindness.
Chinatown is a neighborhood in Vancouver, British Columbia, the largest Chinatown in Canada. Centered on Pender Street, Gastown to the North, Downtown Financial and Central Business District to the West, Georgia Viaduct and False Creek Entrance to the South, Downtown Eastside and Old Japantown Relics to the Northeast, and Strathcona to the Southeast residential area. Because of Vancouver's large Chinese population -- especially Cantonese-speaking multi-generation Chinese Canadians and first-generation immigrants from Hong Kong -- the city is known as "Hongcouver." In recent years, however, most immigrants have come from Mandarin-speaking residents of mainland China. Chinatown remains a popular tourist attraction and is one of the largest historic Chinatowns in North America, but it has recently experienced decline as new members of Vancouver's Chinese community dispersed to other parts of the metropolitan area. Chinatown is known for its lively food scene, including traditional Asian bakeries, dim sum restaurants and trendy cocktail bars. Old-school pharmacists fill their shelves with canned ginseng and dried fish, while independent boutiques fill the streets with Chinese grocery stores filled with fresh seafood and exotic vegetables. The nearby Sun Yat-sen Classical Chinese Garden has peaceful paths and pavilions. This book is my street shoot in the last 6 years.

We often adore some expensive paid photo editing software and ignore some free photo editing software. In fact, their functions are very powerful, and through their own creativity, they can create some unusual works. Creating novelty from the ordinary is a shortcut to artistic creation. This photo book is a collection of dozens of black, white, and red photos that I edited and created with Amazon Photos, a free software.
The films of Jack Deveau and his production company Hand In Hand once were praised both by audience and critics as the perfect symbiosis of legit feature films, underground avant-garde and explicit all-male adult movies. During the Golden Age of Porn, Hand In Hand was an essential and acclaimed part of the New York art circles and its Independent film scene. The early death of Jack Deveau, the AIDS-crisis and the video revolution changed the porn film industry forever. All this happened at the same time and within a couple of years the Hand In Hand heritage - which should be recognized today as an important chapter of the upcoming queer film movement - was almost forgotten. This book bundles very personal interviews with most of the remaining people that worked as cast and crew members on the films of Hand In Hand, or somehow have been part of the circle around Jack Deveau. GOOD HOT STUFF tells the story of Hand In Hand in fragments, carefully put together from many - totally different - perspectives and memories. It is a story about a filmmaker who had a vision way ahead of his time and the freedom to develop an individual auteur style within the limitations of the early gay adult film industry. Besides the actual conversations, the reader can also learn about the production process and the history of the films - based on hundreds of images, most of them never published in public before; among them original artworks, company ephemera, behind the scenes footage, private snapshots, and numerous magazine articles.

Sebastião Salgado's masterpiece Genesis is the result of an epic eight-year expedition to rediscover the mountains, deserts, and oceans, the animals and peoples that have so far escaped the imprint of modern society--the land and life of a still pristine planet. The Genesis project, along with the Salgados' Instituto Terra, is dedicated to showing the beauty of our planet, reversing the damage done to it, and preserving it for the future. On over 30 trips--by foot, light aircraft, boats, canoes, and even balloons, through extreme temperatures and in sometimes dangerous conditions--Salgado has created a collection of images showing us nature, animals, and indigenous peoples in such intense beauty it takes our breath away. The reach is truly global. Through Salgado's lens, one discovers the animal species and volcanoes of the Galápagos; the penguins, sea lions, cormorants, and whales of the South Atlantic; Brazilian alligators and jaguars; and African lions, leopards, and elephants. We travel over icebergs in the Antarctic, the volcanoes of Central Africa, the ravines of the Grand Canyon, and the glaciers of Alaska. We encounter the Stone Age Korowai people of West Papua, nomadic Dinka cattle farmers in Sudan, Nenets and their reindeer herds in the Arctic Circle, as well as the Mentawai jungle communities on islands west of Sumatra. In characteristic monochrome, Salgado's painterly notes are perfectly tuned to these sublime scenes, capturing sweeping aerial panoramas as much as the most intricate details and textures, from a reptilian skin to the fur coat of the Nenet people of northern Siberia. The exquisitely reproduced images are arranged not by theme but rather conceived as a journey around the globe, immersing them in Salgado's vision of the Earth's mesmerizing scale, order, and beauty.INSTITUTO TERRAFounded in 1998 at Aimorés in the state of Minas Gerais, Instituto Terra is the culmination of Lélia Wanick Salgado and Sebastião Salgado's lifelong activism and work as cultural documentarians. Through a scientific program of planting and raising saplings, the organization has performed a miraculous reforestation of the once infertile region and furthered the Salgados' mission of reversing the damage done to our planet. TASCHEN is proud to reach carbon zero status through our continued partnership.
Civil ConversationBook IIThe manner of conversation that is suitable for all people in public and the particular points to be observed. This is a revival of The Civil Conversation adapted into today's English. Written first in Italian in 1574 and then translated into French several years later, then translated into English in 1581 based on the French translation and guided by the original Italian by George Pettie. Paragraphs and chapters have been added to break the conversation into chunks that can be more easily digested. Illustrations have been added to bring portions of the book alive. This book is based on the English translation by George Pettie and the original Italian as a reference. It is a very polished form of prose that follows the natural flow of speech during the sixteenth century. It is full of lively figures of speech, descriptive illustrations, and a host of proverbs, poems, colloquialisms, and sayings of that time that are still in use today. The manner of light conversation known to all people who come in contact with others outside their own homes. Also, examined are particular points to be observed in the company between people of dissimilar backgrounds.
Gastown is the core of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the core area of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and a National Historic Site and community northwest of the Downtown Eastside, adjacent to downtown Vancouver. Its historic boundaries - the waterfront (now Water Street and CPR track), Carrall Street, Hastings Street and Cambie Street - follow the boundaries of the 1870 Township Survey and its proper name and postal address is Granville, B.I. ("Brad Entrance"). The official boundary excludes most of Hastings Street, with the exception of Woodward and the Dominion Building, which extends eastward past Columbia Street to a laneway parallel to the west side of Main Street. The town of Granville, including Gastown, was officially designated as the City of Vancouver on April 6, 1886. The Vancouver Fire broke out on June 13 of the same year, leaving only two buildings in the area. Gastown was quickly rebuilt and continued to grow steadily through the 1920s. However, conditions in the area deteriorated during the Great Depression, and by the 1960s the area was devastated. In the 1950s, the City of Vancouver began to study the construction of a highway network in the city. The City Council announced a specific plan in 1967. Among them, the north-south highway with 8 lines of traffic would replace the line of Carro Street and run through Gastown. In order to implement this plan, the authorities have to demolish several buildings in the area of Gastown, Chinatown and Starkona, making the area unrecognizable. Residents and businesses in the three boroughs joined forces to resist the highway plan, and with the support of other groups such as the Vancouver Board of Trade, in 1968 the city was forced to abandon the plan. This move not only successfully saved the community in the area, but also changed the urban planning model of Vancouver, laying the foundation for the future development of public transportation and the high density of the city center in Vancouver. After Gastown escaped demolition, the provincial government designated it as a historic city in 1971. In the 1970s, merchants and residents, together with the city council and city government departments, carried out landscaping in the area, restoring old buildings to their original appearance, paving cobblestones on the streets, and placing them at the place where Cambie Street and Water Street (that is, the site of Granville Lake Township). West Boundary) set up a steam clock, which became the symbol of the district. The area has since developed into one of Vancouver's major tourist attractions and was listed as a National Historic Place of Canada in 2009. This book is my street shoot in the last 6 years.

ENGLISH/DEUTSCH - "Discoveries" is probably my most personal photo book - at least at the time of publishing. It's about the places and the pictures of course. However, it's also about my thoughts and feelings about those places and the pictures. A discovery I made when working on this book is that there's an impact of the place on the picture or in other words: I believe the place of a picture also impacts the photographer.
Bobby Jones has always loved photography. While at Texas Tech University, He studied Photo History. Rick Dingus taught the course. Jones loved looking at all the photos and studying about the different photographers in that course. Thanks, Rick for sparking that interest! Bobby always loved looking through Life Magazine. The photos and the photographers always caught my attention. He started collecting certain Life magazines. Bobby started taking Photography while in graduate school at UNM in the Art Education Department. Walt Pinto was his photo instructor. Bobby loved the way Pinto taught photography. Walt always encouraged Bobby to do his best. Bobby wants to thank him for sparking the love of photography in his heart and soul. Jones used a Pentax K-1000 to create these pictures along with AGFA film and a macro zoom lense. He also used Sensia Fuji color film for the color shots.
Exposing a photograph is not something simple, nor something that the best camera on the market can always solve automatically. Precisely because exposure is the foundation of our photography, It is the Method to balance the parameters between the diaphragm opening, the exposure time and the sensitivity of the sensor to correctly capture the existing light in the scene to be photographed; "Draw" our image with the correct Light and not only that, it is a key creative factor in the composition of our photographs.Surely it has happened to you, in some photos, the protagonist has been too dark (underexposed). Other times, in order to expose the subject correctly, you have burned elements of the background (overexposed). There are even times when neither the dark tones of your scene were as dark as you wanted nor the lights as bright, and that photo that you saw in your mind, in reality, was so dull!... All this happens because you do not dominate the Exposure. That is why we have prepared the book you need to learn to professionally control everything related to The Exhibition.
"A river that forgets its source will dry off" is an African proverb that transcends territories, cultures and civilizations. It is used to describe what will likely become of a person that neglects his or her origin. The phrase, "dry off" in this case does not necessarily imply that the unbothered fellow will suffer death or incapacitation. Rather, it simply tells the tale of a favored dog that feeds on amongst the wolves while its own pack suffers exterminating hunger. The day such dog is reminded of its original dog status and when the not-one-of-us card is eventually played in the wolf community, the dog may no longer have a surviving pack to fall back to by that time. Indeed, a song rightly choruses, "No matter where you go...remember the road that will lead you home..." It is no brainer that this happens. Aristotle, the classical Greek philosopher submitted that Man is naturally gregarious.

The Morningstar gristmill was built in 1872 to process wheat, oats, barley and rye. It is located above the Decew Falls at 2710 Decew Road in St. Catharines. There are two main structures noticeable off the road: the red building which is the maintenance building and the beige stone gristmill itself. There's a little park for picnicking before you get to the gristmill. The property also has a turbine shed, the miller's house in the back, the ice-house, the sawmill and the barn. There's a blacksmith's shop in the barn. It should be noted that the gristmill and the miller's house are heritage sites. "Friends of Morningstar Mill" are volunteers that keep the grounds and the gristmill operating for tourists and school groups. These volunteers started reconstruction of the gristmill in the year 2000. Now the mill is the only water powered gristmill in the entire Niagara Peninsula. The mill is officially open May 1 until the Thanksgiving weekend. School tours can be arranged for a Tuesday or Thursday, by phoning Gary Konkle 905-384-2530.Wedding photography can also be arranged by phoning "The Recreation and Community Services Office of St. Catharines" at 905-688-5601 ext. 1925
When you're walking really slowly you start to notice many things that you never saw before, because you were just racing past, maybe even looking at your smartphone. I realized that I saw faces and creatures everywhere. In scratches, waterpills, moss, bark, stones. This phenomenon is called Pareidolia. The creatures were hiding everywhere. I started to take pictures to show all these crazy creatures to my friends. But some of my friends had difficulties to see what I saw. So I tried to figure out how I could make it easier for them. That's how the project 'With different eyes' was born.Ever since then, I've been carrying a collection of Goggley-eyes whenever I went for a hike. When I found another creature, I placed the eyes at the right spots and then I took my pictures. It's amazing how much a pair of wiggley eyes to help focus where you look. And it's even more amazing where all of those creatures are hiding and how much easier it is to see them, when you place the eyes at the right spot. There is so much to see if you just open your eyes and look around.Try it out and see the world "with different eyes"!In this book, you'll follow me on my hikes and see some of the creatures I found.: )Some of them might make you giggle. The next time you go outside, Look for the creatures, cause they hide.

This booklet is a state of compulsory education and high school education in Cambodia. In the early 1990s, it seemed to me that elementary school students, in lower grades, upper grades, and through all grades, it was natural to retire and drop out of school. That's how very unthinkable words existed in conversations with the people I touched in front of me.I confirm whether it is true to put the situation of the school into words one by one. Therefore"Is this really true?"It was a strange, shocking matter which reflected in the mind to me.So, it was hard to reflect on me as it was in front of me.No, I am not hearing that the things in front of me are never difficult. However, I do not understand that.It took me a considerable amount of time to understand that.I've never experienced that. That was how hard it was for me to imagine."It started with the fact that the grades and ages didn't fit."The cause starts with the intertwining of age and grade. It has happened in my head that the school year and age beyond it have not always been linked for several years. For instance, it becomes like this in the elementary school in the country where it is rich."If you're in the first grade of elementary school, you're six or seven."However, such an age does not pass.Cambodian people didn't have a chance to go to elementary school. The reason is that people in Cambodia's childhood were civil war.Otherwise, Cambodians will return from refugee camps and other countries in the world. As a result, Cambodian people suddenly come to live in Phnom Penh, a local city, and a local farm village part, etc.At that time, if you are the person, you are ten years old.Or, it was a daily thing to be older than that.At that time, the people who fall will go to elementary school, "How many grades can this student enter school?"Because of this, the people who fall under it will enter elementary school. What has been lost is large for people by the civil war.A very daily idea does not become known to a lot of people when there is a reality of civil war, the war, and hunger like that.People who have no experience have no way of doing what is.As a foreigner, I have no experience, but as a concrete thing, I can't grasp what is happening in front of me.The people in front of me spent time in a range of lives I couldn't imagine. Then, I understand that the mysterious educational environment had expanded later.Meanwhile, in the early 1990s, there was no such thing. Then, I had spelled those days.Because, it is like this."I understand, I don't know."It continues single-mindedly.Then, the is that I do not understand that as consideration.Such a thing ran continuously in my mind.More than25 years have passed since then. The educational environment of the capital Phnom Penh is surely advancing. Therefore, I recorded what I noticed newly and what had continued up to now.In this book, I have seen and heard about the education again in the capital and the local city in the past few years.Still, I am made to notice that the educational environment is advancing in a new living environment. The educational situation that I see in capital Phnom Penh looks fresh. However, the educational environment in the pagoda before is reflected in me as Cambodian people take over, and it grows up.
