The study consists of a contextualisation and analysis of South African Queer features, as well as selected short films and documentaries.

Judith Mariner's life is a portrait of non-conformity and unique experiences. She wasn't like the other girls in the '40s. She reveled in the outdoors and played with the boys. She discovered yoga and vegetarianism long before they became fads. She faced abuse of every kind and a feeling of "not enoughness" with everything she attempted. In high school, she taught herself to play tennis and became the state champion-twice. Through tenacity and conviction, she followed her artistic passions from the streets of Venice, Italy, to the barrios of Tucson, Arizona. She didn't care where she lived or how she made money, as long as she could paint and provide for her children. No matter what obstacles she faced, she found a way to survive and thrive, never losing the fire in her belly.

Einige der Bilder zeigen die Innenräume des Hauses, als er es für den Verkauf ausräumte. Andere sind Nahaufnahmen von Hunderten von Kisten mit Gegenständen, die seine Mutter, eine krankhafte Sammlerin, aus praktischen und sentimentalen Gründen zusammengetragen hatte. Movement Notation is considered the first publication of the "Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation" (EWMN), developed by Noa Eshkol and Abraham Wachmann. With this polyphonic notation system, Eshkol and Wachmann centered dance on its basic element: the movement of the human body. They treated the different parts of the body as separate instruments, similar to the musical instruments of an orchestra - each with its own rules for performing movement. This new edition of the 1958 publication is supplemented with contributions from Eshkol's collaborators and additional archive material, which contextualizes and expands on the genesis of the EWMN and embeds it in contemporary discourses on dance and movement.Ed.: Krist Gruijthuijsen. MOMENTE MIT FREUND:INNEN MOMENTOS CON AMIGOSBLICKE OHNE GRENZEN IIFOTOGRAFIEN Rudolstadt Festival 2023Rudolstadt Festival ist in den letzten Jahrzehnten zu einer eigenen Institution geworden. In den vier Tagen, Anfang Juli jeden Jahres, kommen fast einhunderttausend Menschen aus Ländern quer über den Erdball in der Kleinstadt zusammen und genießen Musik als eine der vielen Gemeinsamkeiten. Länderschwerpunkt im Juli 2023 war Kuba. Dieser kleine Katalog soll einen kurzen Einblick in das Geschehen rund um einen musikalischen Auftritt geben. TONY AVILA und Band stehen hier beispielhaft für viele Künstler:innen aus Kuba und anderen Ländern, die dieses Festival maßgeblich gestaltet haben. Auch Yarima Blanco und Band sowie Eliades Ochao mit Grupo Patria gehörten zu den Höhepunkten des Festivals.Andrea Kähler und ich durften TONY plus Band begleiten und mit den sommerlichen Temperaturen waren wir geistig gemeinsam auf Kuba. Wir waren mit unserer Fotoausrüstung für die Künstler:innen und die Zeitschrift Melodie und Rhythmus, Verlag 8.
