Frans Hals is one of the most important portrait painters of all time. Like Rembrandt, the famous Dutch Baroque master's striking portraits of the bourgeoisie and social outsiders are distinguished by their extraordinary vividness and accurate depiction. His sketch-like paintings, executed with bold brushstrokes, had a decisive influence on modernist painting. This comprehensive publication coincides with the first major survey exhibition of Hals' oeuvre in more than thirty years. FRANS HALS (1582/84-1666) was born in Antwerp, the son of a cloth merchant. In 1610 he was accepted into the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke. Hals created hundreds of genre paintings, individual, and group portraits and enjoyed great public prestige. Despite his fame during his lifetime, it was not until the nineteenth century that he was enthusiastically rediscovered by the Impressionists and Realists.

TAPTA (*1926-1997) was born in Poland and came to Belgium as a political refugee with her husband, Krzysztof Wierusz-Kowalski, after taking part in the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. She studied weaving at the La Cambre National School of Visual Arts, Brussels, from where she graduated in 1949. Shortly afterwards, the couple moved to the Belgian Congo (now Democratic Republic of the Congo), where they lived from 1950 to 1960. On their return to Belgium in 1960, until her sudden death in 1997, she worked in Brussels as an artist and-from 1976 until 1990-as a professor at La Cambre.

Es wurden alle Teile neugestaltet und ausgebaut, die sich mit der kriminologischen Erforschung von (Straf-)Gesetzgebungsprozessen befassen. Zusätzlich wurden sämtliche Textstellen neu konzipiert, die die Forschung zur Praxis der Strafverfolgungsinstitutionen thematisieren und die Behandlung von Cyber Crimes erhielt eine erheblich größere Gewichtung.
Obwohl Klimarisiken sich mittelbar in Risiken niederschlagen, die als Risikokategorien im (Banken-)Aufsichtsrecht etabliert sind und Klimarisiken dadurch in der Regelungsstruktur im Prinzip berücksichtigt sind, bringt der Umgang mit ihnen besondere Herausforderungen mit sich. Elisabeth Larissa Schemmer analysiert diese Herausforderungen und untersucht, wie die mikro- und makroprudenziellen Instrumente des Aufsichtsrechts genutzt bzw. fortentwickelt werden können, um Klimarisiken adäquat zu begegnen. Dies erfordert es nicht nur, Wissen kontinuierlich auszubauen, sondern auch verbleibende Ungewissheit anzuerkennen. Letzterer kann mit Strukturen des Risikoverwaltungsrechts begegnet werden. Soweit möglich differenzierende, im Übrigen heuristische Vorsorgemaßnahmen können in Kombination mit steuernden Effekten, Plänen für den Notfall und Reaktionen auf unvorhersehbare bzw. unvermeidbare Krisen einen umfassenden Ansatz im Umgang mit Klimarisiken bieten. Abschließend erörtert sie, wie die Ergebnisse der Arbeit auf Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken im weiteren Sinne übertragen werden können.
