Since Test cricket began in 1877, there have been over three thousand players representing their countries in Test matches. World XIs tackles the daunting task of choosing the best of the best and coming up with the greatest team from each era (broadly decades) of Test cricket history and exploring these players in more detail. While the statistics for each decade are closely examined, some of the selection decisions are lineball and some greats of the game have missed selection in their respective XI. Who is the better fast bowler in the 1950s - England's Brian Statham or Australia's Ray Lindwall? Do you go for Abdul Qadir from Pakistan as a spinner, or does India's Kapil Dev's all-round ability secure him a 1980s spot? Is Rahul Dravid good enough to make the 2000s side?A second XI has been included for each era to show which legendary players missed selection and to help in the debate as to whether World XIs has got it right. With legends of the game such as W.G Grace in the 1800s; through to Don Bradman in the 1930s; the West Indies' three Ws in the 1950s; Imran Khan in the 1980s; and more recent greats such as Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, there are a wide variety of players represented through the ages. And to cap things off, there are a number of greatest-ever teams for you to mull over. World XIs is sure to cause some robust debate amongst cricket lovers the world over.

A definitive biography of Angelos Postecoglou, the soccer manager and former player who is the head coach of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. When Ange Postecoglou became the first Australian to be appointed manager of an English Premier League Club he introduced his attacking style of play that was dubbed "Angeball" to the British football public. Fans of Celtic in Scotland had already seen it. Fans way back in South Melbourne saw its beginning. Fans in Brisbane, Australia, and Tokyo in Japan had seen it develop. 'Angeball' is a brand of all-out attacking football where goals are gold. It probably had its beginnings when the young son of a Greek migrant and his father were up in the middle of the night in Australia watching English football on TV. That son was Angelos Postecoglou and his path to the top-flight of football coaching began there and then. This is the story of Postecoglou's Angeball, from schoolboy glory at Prahran High School in Melbourne to taking charge of one of England's "Big Six" football clubs.

Walking holidays have become more popular, and it certainly looks like they're here to stay. In 2022 Mintel found that walking is the UK's most popular active holiday, while in June 2023, the New York Times ran a headline that claimed 2023 as the year of the walk. Whether it's setting off on a long walk or going walking for the day, it doesn't get much better than doing it in Italy. Italy has it all: mountains, hilltop towns, medieval squares, olive groves, vineyards, Renaissance art, routes which speak the stories of people and places. This is a book about walking that's not necessarily for walkers. It's for those who love walking and go regularly but it's also aimed at beginners, those of us who enjoy a walk followed by lunch or dinner in a medieval square and a night at a cosy B&B. Maybe you'll never actually go on any of the walks. This is also the book for you. It's full of the history and stories of routes and places, so you can go on your own journey from the comfort of your living room. It gives you all the relevant links you'll need such as up-to-date maps, detailed routes, GPS navigation, updates, further reading, and advice on the walking itself. Start reading, start dreaming and maybe you too could be walking through Italy soon.

Steve Williams, arguably the greatest caddie in golf history, teams up with renowned golf journalist Evin Priest to give his definitive account of his 12-year partnership with the legendary Tiger Woods, sharing personal, never-before-told moments of their friendship on and off the course. When Tiger Woods went on an extraordinary majors run between 1999 and 2008, one man stood at his side: his caddie Steve Williams. Together Steve and Tiger dominated the PGA Tour and won an astonishing 13 major championships, their sights set on breaking Jack Nicklaus's record 18 majors. Before they could overtake Nicklaus, however, their partnership ended abruptly, and a 12-year period without talking began. Years later, the two reconnected. Steve, with PGA Tour journalist Evin Priest, reflects fondly on his years as Tiger's caddie and their relentless pursuit of greatness. He revisits all their best moments, from Tiger's iconic shot on the 16th hole at the 2005 Masters to the famed Tiger Slam of 2000 and 2001, to his against-the-odds victory on a broken leg at the 2008 US Open. Steve goes behind the scenes of their on-course success and shows their friendship off the course, like Tiger caddying for Steve on his wedding day and Tiger giving a heartfelt best man speech. Steve also shares fascinating, never-before-seen photos and ephemera. Dawn Thirty offers an inside look at what it is like to ride alongside greatness and is a heartfelt ode to the friendship that produced one of the winningest duos in golf history.
