It is the author's hope that this booklet will enable the collector to make sound educated decisions about purchasing an individual cameo or building a meaningful collection. A quality picture can often portray what cannot be adequately expressed in the written word. The author provides 150 captivating color pictorial examples of this wearable art form, and clues to circa-dating antique and vintage cameos. As a bonus, included is a special section devoted to Damascene jewelry and the centuries-old process that artisans still use today to produce these magnificent works of art.

Why intellectualism, you may well ask. And, my answer would have to be-why not? Isn't it the "in" thing?
