Crazy is the tales of my adventure in the bush. I left Montreal in 1972, at the ripe old age of 26 to live a different life than the one I was brought up in. I had decided that there was nothing civilized about civilization and I wanted to try something completely different. I found it in the north central part of the Cariboo region of BC near Quesnel.Everybody back home was talking about going back to the land but they never did anything about it. In '72 I got tired of their BS and decided to just do it. My brother and I left Montreal in an old GMC 1 ton van and drove across Canada. Along the way we worked on a cattle ranch near Eckville Alberta for two months. We arrived in the Quesnel area, on the Barkerville highway at Cottonwood. As we drove into an old school friend's driveway, I had the distinct feeling that I had come home. So began the adventure of a lifetime.
