What is a Sub-Bohemian?A Sub-Bohemian is one who lives an unconventional lifestyle. He has artistic interests which drive his unconventionality. But, in our Superhero's case, his unconventionality is also driven by the necessity to avoid being crushed.Sub-Bohemian's are the smallest people in the world. Well, actually there is only one Sub-Bohemian, our Superhero. So he is the smallest person in the world. "Oh," you think, "he's a midget." No, he's smaller than a midget. "A Leprechaun, then?" No, even smaller. "A Trusvariankoponomian - the smallest of the wee people?" No, he's even tinier than that. The Sub-Bohemian is no taller than a small ant, but he's even stronger. "Oh, like "Up and at-em, Atom Ant!"?" No, he's not an ant. And he's even stronger. The Sub-Bohemian has no idea why he's so strong - other than that it keeps him alive. He has no purpose in life - other than to survive. He has no idea why there are no other Sub-Bohemians or how he came into being, since he's the only one.As such, he's the perfect candidate to become our Superhero.I suppose I should give the Sub-Bohemian a name, especially since he is our Superhero. His Super-title will be "The Sub-Bohemian". For a name, let's use Paul. What's wrong with Paul? Not Bohemian enough you say - how would you know? What about John? There you go with that look again. Lute? Closer, but not close enough?OK, we'll call him Pavlik-Pavlik - Pavlik means Small in Bohemian, so Pavlik-Pavlik means Small-Small or Very-Small.Introducing: Pavlik-Pavlik!The Sub-Bohemian!Our Superhero!Rating G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade; Longest Word: Unconventionality

In an effort to save their youngster from the Mighty Spirit of the Jungle, owl's parents beg the Spirit to spare the most beautiful baby from an annual sacrifice. With every intention to oblige, the Spirit decides to eat the youngster that to him looks ugliest, with sad consequences. While dramatic and tragic this folktale forces alternative perspective-taking. It teaches children the intrinsic value of objective description in communication, as well as the potential pitfalls of vanity. Several versions exist and some are titled differently, but this one is the tale I remember listening to while growing up in Argentina.

One Halloween night, Flash and Fidget are getting ready for trick-or-treaters when they hear a spooky sound haunting their house. After being spooked silly, they realize they were just visited by an unexpected friend. In this comical short story, kids will learn the urban legend of Jack-o-lanterns and realize that everything may not be what it seems. Learn with Flash and Fidget through their experiences and short tales! Be sure to check out Flash and Fidgets other adventures! A little about the Author, Melanie M. Aleman created Flash and Fidget books to encourage her son, David, to read. He hated reading and struggled in his academics. He felt defeated and dreaded going to school for this purpose. Several years later they had finally uncovered that David had many learning disabilities playing against him. You wouldn't have known just talking to him that he was struggling so much. He was then diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, Sensitivity disorders and more. They saw specialists and practically lived in medical facilities for testing and therapies. Getting assistance from his school had been tiresome, having to be an advocate and fighting for what he is rightful to, while trying to decode the IEP manuals. These were practically written in a different language. This is when Melanie wanted to create a book that David would enjoy. She created Flash and Fidget in large print, small chapters to help him feel accomplished while reading and illustrated a picture per page to keep him engaged. The book was silly, relevant and hidden educational lessons. She even added her "Flip-O-Mation" technique, bringing her characters to life while flipping the pages back and forth. David loved this book; he went to school and told all his friend about it! His teacher questioned Melanie about this book she never heard of. Melanie was then later asked to do book reads for classes and make appearances in schools. Now that Flash and Fidget became a hit, she continues to create more books with her infamous characters. She knew there are many families going through the stresses of the "run-around" so that's where the Flash and Fidget Foundation comes into play. We don't want any kids getting swept under the rug or labeled as "Bad Kids" because of their behavior or slipping grades. Most of the time, kids want to please and be proud of their accomplishments. Kids who act out, are doing it for a reason, and sometimes it's a learning disability that they can't explain. Let create awareness by educating families of signs and symptom, explain IEPs and 504 plans so parents can understand their rights, and raise money to help pay for expensive testing that insurances don't cover. Let's "Unlock the Brilliant Minds of our Future!"

BUDGIE SMUGGLERS (Book 4 in the Urban Hunters series)Billy's found a girl but what to do with her? A dinner date! Great idea, nothing like a freshly roasted rat over the coals on a starry night. And those loveable puppies: Larry, Curly and Moe, make a meal of a dying man, much to Amber's relief. Life in the city, much more exciting than the bush."This book was just as laugh out loud funny as the first three books in the series. Billy must decide whether to endure the pain of initiation or remain a boy."Though Tribal Scarring was more serious, it was really great. One of the best YA books I have read! Kudos!
